Marketing and Fundraising Manager David Peake visited the Rotary Club of Oadby on Thursday, January 19, to receive a cheque for £1,632.

Two other good causes — Birkett House and the Ourspace Centre — received similar cheques. The money had been raised by Rotarians and others collecting outside Sainsbury’s and Asda in Oadby in the week before Christmas.

David thanked the collectors (one of whom was Menphys Executive Director Peter Coopey) for standing in the cold. He also thanked the generous shoppers who had given the money.
