“I Can Do It Too!” – taster activity scheme

Aiming to give disabled children and young people the same opportunities through sport, play and leisure to increase their confidence, fitness, self-esteem, communication and social skills, learn new skills, have things to look forward to and have fun. Menphys can help by:

  1. Listening to what your child or young person would like to do
  2. Contacting the activity providers to explain your child/young person’s needs
  3. Funding the first 6 taster sessions

“It made a fantastic difference. We would not have tried this without your support. I am so pleased we did. He loves horse riding, we will continue with his lessons. The trainer says he is a natural. When he is on a horse he is like a different child, he listens and concentrates. He really looks forward to it”.

Family Activity Days

Creating opportunities for families to go out together to meet other families in similar situations in fun and relaxed environments. Menphys seeks funding from a wide variety of sources to put on these days. Our last event, The Menphys Mini Rio Olympics was held in October 2016.

“Just wanted to drop you a line to say we really enjoyed the event (Rio Olympics) yesterday. R had a great time in the sensory section and the cardboard box on wheels!”

“What we most enjoyed about the Rio Olympics, trying something different. Seeing other children and parents, some new play ideas”
