John Goes, a Catenian of Hinckley Golf Club, and Jamie Ison President of the Hinckley Catenian Circle presented a cheque for £6,281 to Menphys – Leicester and Leicestershire’s charity for children and young people with disabilities. The cheque was presented during a celebration evening at the Catenian’s Dinner following a charity Golf Day organised by John Goes at the Hinckley Club.
Carolyn Pascoe, Fundraising and Marketing Manager at Menphys, said: “We are thrilled with the donation from John and the Golfers at Hinckley Golf Club and would like to say a huge thank you to them for supporting Menphys. The money will help us reach out to disabled children and their families.”
“We work with disabled children, and offer a range of projects and services across the county to ensure that disabled children, young people and their families have the best support and advice” she added.
John Goes said “We are delighted to have been able to make this donation to Menphys. We chose to support this charity because of the excellent work it carries out in our local area.”
The celebration dinner host, Hinckley Catenians President Jamie Ison, said “We are exceedingly proud to support John Goes, his teams of Golfers and Menphys and believe that £6,281 can make a real difference to the disabled children and young people in Leicestershire”
