Menphys SOS Training Services
Menphys SOS delivers training to Childcare Providers in Leicestershire and Leicester.
The course has been accredited through Loughborough College by the National Open College Network.
Unit Title: Menphys SOS Disabled Children & Young People
The aim of the course is to enable participants to understand the needs and rights of disabled
children, young people and their families. It also aims to develop their skills to ensure they have the
competence and confidence to include disabled children into their settings.
There are 6 learning outcomes as part of this unit.

Venues: We aim to give all childcare providers in Leicestershire and Leicester the opportunity to
attend the course so therefore we deliver the course on a rolling outreach programme.
Times: Generally in the evening 7 – 9:30pm
Cost: There is no cost for students - funding is made available by Leicestershire County and Leicester City Councils
Length of Course: 10 evening sessions
Course work: There is course work which is a requirement of the NOCN accreditation.
