
Menphys SOS offers support to children and young people with complex health needs, disabilities or special educational needs and their parents/carers living in Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland.
The services we can provide children and young people aged 0-19 living in Leicestershire include:-
• Early Support – key working and coordination service
• Benefits and Grants – support in claiming disability related benefits and grants
• Family Support – through home visits and telephone contact
• Taster Opportunities Scheme – inclusion into sport play and leisure activities
• Family Activity Days – ‘Splosh and Nosh’ swim parties and family activity days
• Childcare – supporting the inclusion of child/young people into childcare
• Summer Play Schemes – support in accessing specialist summer schemes
• Parent Carer Participation Forum – getting your voice heard
• Children and Young People’s Participation Forum – new
• County-Wide Family Support Groups –‘Together for Families’ in partnership with the Parent and Carer Council and Parent Partnership Service
The services we can provide children and young people aged 0-19 living in Rutland include:-
• Early Support – key working and coordination service including family support and support in claiming disability related grants and benefits.

• Early Support – key working and coordination service including family support and support in claiming disability related grants and benefits.

Early Support
Early Support is the central government mechanism to improve the quality, consistency and coordination of services for young children with disabilities and their families across England. In Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland in partnership with Menphys SOS Early Support is used to provide family key Working and co – ordination for children and young people aged 0-19 who have complex health needs, disabilities or special educational needs.
