About the Event

We are excited to be able to invite Hope Community Gospel Choir to Enderby for an exciting evening of live music - starting the countdown to Christmas in style!

Hope, are based in Beeston (Nottinghamshire) and have been singing together for more than 10 years. Since the arrival of the very talented Barbara and Steve Thomas as choir directors in 2014, the choir have gone from strength to strength with a total of about 60 members! Their repertoire includes upbeat motown classics and gospel songs with powerful and soaring harmonies; ranging from Stormzy's 'Blinded by Your Grace' to 'Oh Happy Day' with 'Shackles (Praise You)' and 'Something Inside so Strong' somewhere in between!

The choir is accompanied by talented musicians including the phenomenal saxophonist, Rob Stutchbury!

The evening promises to include songs which will make you smile, clap/sing along and maybe even want to get up and dance (which is definitely encouraged!). There will be a few carols thrown in, in anticipation of the Christmas season, and special solo and guest performances including local singer-songwriter Tim Stokes.

Quality refreshments will be served after the performance with any donations received going to our chosen local charity, Menphys.

Tickets can also be purchased directly from Enderby Mission Church.

For more details on the performers and the work of Menphys, please visit their websites:
